For individuals in recovery, finding or rediscovering opportunities to connect with others, get active, and enjoy nature can help to enhance their recovery and prioritize health and wellbeing.

We explored some adventurous pathways and spoke with individuals in recovery who engage others in activities that support recovery, and simply to have “sober fun!”

We explored programs throughout Pennsylvania that support individuals with a substance use disorder who have encountered the criminal justice system. We learned about the Department of Corrections’ MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) program, drug treatment courts, and other diversion programs.
