Kathy Collier

Kathleen Collier is the Prevention Program Manager at the Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services. She has been with the County for twelve years. Her work has focused on building capacity to address issues and effect change at the individual, family and community level.

Kathy received her B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1991 and her M.S.Ed. from Duquesne University in 1994. She did her post graduate work at Penn State University through 1997 while working in schools as a counselor. After a time away from work when her children were born, Kathy began working in the field of Prevention, first as a Community Mobilizer and later for the Chester County SCA.

Kathy is involved in a number of County and State Boards including Chairing the Prevention Program Directors Association of Pennsylvania, serving as President of the board of directors of the Commonwealth Prevention Alliance, and the Downingtown Community Education Foundation.

Kathy is active in many community organizations.  A mother of two, one in college and one in grad school, Prevention is both a professional and personal passion.
