Have You Had the Conversation? 2018-04-20T12:48:52+00:00

Be a Part of the Conversation and Montgomery County are partnering to bring this valuable program to parents of children in grades K through 5. At each of nine school districts’ events, we will have a conversation about:

• The reality of when and how kids are introduced to substances.
• How to have a conversation with children about loved ones who might be struggling with substance use.
• What to do if you are concerned that your child may be experimenting.

Our goal is to provide education and resources, and to break through the stigma that keeps so many families in the dark.

For more information, contact Kim Porter at 267-629-2214 or kim@conversation.zone.

“We got lots of good ideas and mostly confidence that we can have dialogues with our sons.”

“Parents need to start talking with our kids about drugs and alcohol. We need to talk at their level and be honest.”

“Keep it up! We loved it.”

“I liked that the young adult in recovery shared her thoughts. She looked like the girl next door, which surprised me.”
