With adult use cannabis legalization on the horizon, and the presence of medical marijuana, parents and educators are faced with misinformation, the reduction of perceived harm, and mixed messaging. These are just a few of the many concerns surrounding cannabis.

We will have a conversation about the science of today’s cannabis and its impact on young people’s developing brains. We need to learn all we can about this evolving substance, which has exponentially higher potency and more creative delivery systems than even 10 years ago. This program addresses the effects of increased THC potency, social norms, availability, and the impact on a young, developing brain.

Our special guest speaker is Lizzy Lopez, LPC
