Be a Part of the Conversation addresses substance use, misuse and addiction and its impact on individuals and their families by building a culture of awareness and support.
We hope to see everyone equipped with the skills and resources to avoid substance use, misuse or addiction. If such use becomes a reality and a challenge, or if the disease of addiction has been diagnosed, those individuals will be supported and assisted by a community that is educated and able to take timely and positive action toward healing and lifelong recovery.
Our Core Values
Accountability – Acknowledging and assuming responsibility for our actions, attitudes, and practices – as individuals and as an organization as a whole.
Inclusion – Creating a culture of acceptance, free of stigma or bias, where all can feel free to share their experiences and concerns.
Community – Contributing to society and demonstrating corporate social responsibility.
Innovation – Pursuing new and creative ideas that have the potential to change lives for the better.
Hopefulness – Finding hope when faced with feelings of despair, with the knowledge that we are working toward positive outcomes.
Self-Awareness – Remaining mindful of our own well-being, in order to maintain a healthy attitude as we serve communities and individuals who depend on our stability.
Graciousness – Providing a welcoming and safe environment for participants, fostering a positive experience.
Recognizing the potential to expand this initiative into other communities, Hatboro-Horsham School District administrators transferred the intellectual property known as Be a Part of the Conversation to our current organization in August of 2014. Be a Part of the Conversation was granted its Articles of Incorporation with the State of Pennsylvania on June 11, 2014. Today, we are recognized as a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization by the United States Internal Revenue Service.
