The 3rd Annual Conversation Forum featured a panel of three young adults in recovery from substance abuse, and three (unrelated) parents whose children have struggled with addiction. The panel shared what they have learned about the effects of substance use on young people and the toll that it takes on family members who feel powerless to stop the frightening behaviors.
Heather Gregan, LPC, CADC, moderated the panel, which focused on the positive actions we can take as family members, friends, educators, and community members to confront the challenges that drugs and alcohol present to young people in today’s world.
As always, the panel discussion was followed by breakout conversations, then finished with a Q&A betweenaudience members and the panelists.
